“Old Glory”
Tribute to the flag

I have seen the glories of art and archietecture; and of river and mountains.
I have seen the sunset on Jungfrau and the moon rise on Mount Blanc.
But the fairest vision on which these eyes ever rested was the flag of my country in a foreign port!
Beautiful as a flower to those who love it, terrible as a meteor to those who hate it, it is the symbol of the power and the glory, and the honor of the millions of Americans.”

Welcome to my Hooah Blog.
My name is Perry Keating and I hope you enjoy my website on Hooah things. As for me, I was born at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, into a long line of super-patriotic, dedicated troopers. My grandfather, father, great uncles, uncles, brothers, and brothers-in-arms all spent time serving in the United States Armed Forces (mostly U.S. Army).
Personally, I spent almost 16 years in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserve and had the great fortune to meet and work with some of the world’s greatest troopers. After college, I enlisted in the U.S. Army and eventually recieved my commission as an Second Lieutenant in the Corps of Engineer in 1988. After both active and reserve duty, I finally “retired” but never gave up my love of the red, white and blue and those who serve it.
